NAMASTE FROM LITTLE HOUSE YOGA
MEET BARBARA OF LITTLE HOUSE YOGA
Hello, I am Barbara, a 200hr registered yoga teacher, offering classes in Massachusetts. I have been practicing yoga for the last 5 years and became certified in October 2017. I am a Vibrational Sound Therapy Certified and Licensed Practitioner, USUI/Holy Fire III Reiki Practitioner and Sound Healing Practitioner. I believe in living a life full of joy, gratitude, and free of judgement. These feelings inform and guide my teachings and practice, which is focused on helping people better connect to themselves and their surroundings. I have a passion for helping others and bringing calmness and serenity into this fast paced society.
PRACTICE & EDUCATION
Learn to Listen to Your Body
The Viniyoga method of yoga is based on the deep relationship between breath and movement, experiencing yoga from the inside out and providing a sound approach to practicing asana (yoga postures). The deep slow rhythmic breath that you will master naturally creates a calm and focused mind and reduces stress on the physiological level. This class is appropriate for beginner or advanced students and is a gentle to moderate class.
Using gongs, singing bowls, flutes and drums, Barbara joins Drumsinger A. Michelle to help the body, mind and spirit relax and heal. Years of professional experience and a number of instruments, sounds, and vocals create a distinctive healing session for each specific audience.
VIBRATIONAL SOUND THERAPY
Vibrational Sound Therapy involves placing Therapeutic bowls on or off the body combining a powerful vibration and sound to induce an immediate relaxed state. The sound waves move directly into the body along with soothing ambient tones in a strong modality where a person can go from a meditative state to deep relaxation. There is no hands on touch and the person remains fully clothed. You as the client and the practitioner maintain a spiritual intimacy through the sounds and vibrations of these bowls. Vibrational Sound Therapy is not meant to diagnose or cure any diseases. The modality is a method of deep relaxation that can relieve stress and improve emotional health and well being.
